Job description
Since 2001, the GIZ CPS program in Cambodia has supported peacebuilding and reconciliation. Since 2007, a significant part of its work has been carried out in the context of the transitional justice process related to the Khmer Rouge Tribunal, with particular attention to victim participation, mental health and psychosocial support, truth and memory, and peace education. While the tribunal has been an important reference point, the program's engagement in these thematic areas has extended beyond the legal proceedings themselves. The Civil Peace Service of GIZ in Cambodia will host a Regional Conference in February 2026. This event is envisioned as a professional exchange platform, bringing together various CPS country programs to share experiences, insights, and strategies related to civil peace work. The event will also serve to showcase and reflect on the program’s long-standing contributions. The CPS advisor will be based in Phnom Penh and will work in close coordination with the CPS coordinator, CPS advisor for PME and Knowledge Management, CPS team, CPS HQ and partner organizations.
